| Nile
Computers Limited, is expanding its branches to other districts
of Uganda for the purpose of extending services nearer to
the people. ICT being a new thing especially, in Uganda today,
was found out to have hight demand in the country side. |

| The
Business Development Manager analyzed some preliminary points
on the ground about the viability of the business, and it
was concluded that it was viable not only in the city but
also in the other districts of Uganda. Moreso, its on record,
clients who come to the headoffice for purchases of Computer
equipment were from other districts apart from Kampala. Because
of the demands for computers, training, accessories, software
and maintenance services; the organisation first openned up
four branches in the year 2004 in: Apac, Gulu, Masindi and
Wobulenzi respectively. |

| The
centers that served as pilot projects were established with
some subsidy funding from Uganda Communications Commission
which were used purely for purchases of computers and accessories.
The management aspect of those centers remains the business
of Nile Computers Limited. Now the organisation has in total
twelve centers which are fully operational. |

|
|
| The
activities being carried out at those centers at the moment
are training services, secretarial work and Internet Surfing
services. Other services include Sales of Computers, Accessories
and software. Hardware maintenance and repair, General IT
consultancy, Freenet setup and support. |
